Connect USB printer to Poster

Connect any thermal receipt printer supporting ESC/POS and USB to Poster POS

Poster supports any USB thermal receipt printer compatible with ESC/POS. Such printers are compatible with Poster for Windows, macOS, and in rare cases Android.

Connect a printer to Poster by USB:

  1. Turn on the printer.

  2. Insert a paper roll inside the printer.

  3. Connect the printer by USB to Windows, or macOS laptop with Poster POS.

  4. Launch Poster POS app and sign in.

  5. Tap Devices at the top right to select a printer.

  6. Select ESC/POS device from the list.

  7. If Epson or Sam4S are connected by USB, select a device with a brand name.

  8. Wait for Poster to complete the automatic configuration

  9. Enable Receipt slider to allow printing customer receipts.

  10. Enable Station sliders to allow printing order tickets to Kitchen or Bar.

  11. Tap Print a test receipt to see if the printer works.

💡 If you have multiple printers connected, you can identify them by tapping Print test receipt in ≡ → Devices.

💡 To change the font size, go to ≡ → Devices, tap Settings, and set the Paper width. You can also turn on Increased ticket font size to make the font bigger for tickets only.

Standard paper width for common printers:

  • Epson TM-T20II — 80 mm.

  • Xprinter Q260 — 80 mm.

  • Sam4s Ellix 50DB — 72 mm.
