Connect Kitchen Kit
Launch Kitchen Kit app
Login to your Poster POS app.
Enter the employee’s PIN on the register.
Tap Connect in the pop-up window.
Go to ≡ → Devices at the top right of your POS app.
Select Kitchen Kit and enable Station sliders to allow tickets on Kitchen or Bar.
Tap Print a test receipt to test performance.
💡 While editing the dish enter How to prepare this dish and Cooking time. Kitchen Kit displays orders along with meal recipes and cooking instructions. Accepting the order starts a countdown timer.
☝️ Make sure that Kitchen Kit and the register are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
POS notifications and tickets
Reduce paper consumption and printer costs by sending orders to KDS. Kitchen Kit tickets are always available in the back office and need no paper.
Tap ••• next to the Send button in the open receipt on the POS.
Kitchen Kit displays waiter, table, time sent, dishes and comments.
Tap the dish name to display the recipe and cooking instructions.
Tap Start to start cooking and start the countdown timer.
Tap Ready once the order is prepared and trigger waiter notification.
💡 You can have printers and Kitchen Kit installed at the same time.
☝️ Cancel order in Poster POS:
Remove a dish from the order on the POS register.
Tap Send again.
Order status will be changed to Cancelled on the Kitchen Kit display
☝️ Cancel order in Kitchen Kit.
Tap a dish on the Kitchen Kit display.
Tap Order cancel.
Waiter gets a notification about the cancellation.
View all ready orders in the History tab in the Poster Kitchen Kit application.
Kitchen Kit is compatible with Android 4.4+ tablets. KDS is not available on smartphones.
