How to set up a Poster Connect account for a franchise

Grant partners access, manage standartizied menu and other franchise settings with Poster Connect.

Poster Connect helps you manage your franchise or branch accounts within a general management account called Connect.

Poster Connect Features

  • Shared recipes, menus, suppliers, and customer base.

  • Data sync and updates: Ensuring consistency across all your franchise accounts.

  • Customer discounts or bonuses: customers can use their discounts or bonuses at any of your franchise locations.

  • Reports: Track reports for each branch, location, or partner involved in running your business.

Set up the franchise sync

In your Connect account, you create the menu, configure promotions and bonuses, maintain a customer database, and enable synchronization so that changes are reflected in the accounts of all partners. Choose the data that will be shared with your franchise and network establishments.

To check the franchise sync:

  1. Go to the Applications → Poster Connect.

  2. And see enabled checks in the Settings tab, Sync section.

☝️ Note that you cannot sync promotions without enabling the menu sync. Products and dishes are requirements and results of the promotions.

Partner permission to edit the data

To enable partners to create and edit menus, customers, and promotions, grant them such access in Applications → Poster Connect → Settings.

How to grant Editing permission to your partner or branch:

  1. Go to Applications → Poster Connect.

  2. Select Settings at the top.

  3. Enable required permissions in the Access rights section:

    1. Create a menu, customer groups, and promotions enables your partners to add new dishes, customer groups, and promotions to their accounts.

    2. Edit menu so that partners can modify standardized menu items uploaded from the Connect account.

    3. Edit promotions to allow partners to modify discounts and promotions.

  4. Save changes.

Granting rights to edit the menu and promotions, unlocks another option:
Edit menus or promotions when updated in the Connect account. If you enable this option, any changes made by your partners will be reset whenever you edit the menu or promotions in the main Connect account.

Enabling this option also unlocks the next one: Edit stations when updated in the Connect account setting. This helps to sync new Stations created in Poster Connect account to your franchisees.

Pricing policies

If your partners operate in different regions and their prices need to be different from the Connect account, give them the autonomy to control the product costs themselves or set up automatic price adjustments across all locations.

To change the pricing policy:

  1. Go to Applications → Poster Connect.

  2. Select Settings at the top.

  3. Enable required permissions in the Pricing policies section:

    1. Allow price increases to set minimum prices in the Connect account, while granting partners the ability to increase them in their own menu.

    2. Update prices if they're increased, so that the price increase in the Connect account also affects prices in partner accounts.

    3. Allow price reductions to set maximum prices in the Connect account. while granting partners the ability to decrease them in their own menu.

    4. Update prices if they're decreased, so that the price reduction in the Connect account also affects prices in partner accounts if their products were priced higher than your new price.

  4. Save changes.

💡 The Poster Connect app is available in all franchise accounts, so that each partner can see the restrictions and permissions set by the franchise owner or management.

To ensure that partners comply with the cooking process, create a menu in the Connect account that will be synced across all connected franchise accounts.
