Organize a menu with dish modifiers to make your service faster and to control your stocks. For example create a complex breakfast with a choice of dishes, cappuccino in S, M, and L sizes, or steak with a different roasting degree.

Dish modifiers are available in Business and Pro pricing plans.

Complex breakfast with a choice of dishes

You can offer your customers a menu set or lunches with a choice of dishes at a fixed price. To do this, create a dish where options to choose are modifiers.

To create a complex breakfast with a choice of dish:

  1. Go to Products → Dishes in the management console.

  2. Click on Add.

  3. Enter dish name. For example, “Complex breakfast”.

  4. Choose category and station.

  5. Upload a photo or choose an icon color. It’ll be displayed on your POS.

  6. Set up a fixed price for a complex breakfast in the Price field.

  7. In the Modifiers section click Add modifiers set.

  8. In the pop-up window, New modifiers set enter “Main course” in Set name.

  9. Choose Only one to choose only one main course at once on your POS.

  10. Click Add.

  11. In the Ingredient field choose dishes, preparations, ingredients, or products for the main course. For example, “Oatmeal”, “Omelette”, “Sandwich”.

  12. Press on Add modifiers set again to add “Dessert” and “Beverage” to your “Complex breakfast” dish.

  13. Click Save.

☝️ Modifiers cost field should stay empty. Enter only the Total price of the “Complex breakfast” dish.

💡 To speed up your waiters' work on the POS, change the order of dish modifiers.
Edit the dish in the management console and just drag and drop a line with a modifier to change its position. The new order of modifiers will be automatically displayed on your Point of Sale.

☝️ You can’t add modifiers if dish:

  • is a modifier of another dish;

  • was manufactured and deducted.

  • is a bonus product, rewarded as a promotion.

Cappuccino in S, M, and L sizes

Add to menu size of beverage. To do this add size as a dish modifier.

To add a “Cappuccino S, M, L”:

  1. Go to Products → Dishes in the management console.

  2. Click Add.

  3. Enter a dish name. For example, “Cappuccino to go”.

  4. Choose category and station.

  5. Upload a photo or choose an icon color. It’ll be displayed on your POS.

  6. In the Modifiers section, click Add modifier set.

  7. In pop-up Adding a modifier set window enter “Size” in Name field.

  8. Choose Only one to choose only one size of Cappuccino on your POS at once.

  9. Click Add.

  10. In the Ingredients field choose preparations for different sizes of coffee: “Cappuccino 100 ml”, “Cappuccino 250 ml”, “Cappuccino 330 ml”.

  11. In the Name field enter “S”, “M”, and “L”.

  12. Enter gross weight and price of each size.

  13. Click Save.

💡 If your location works in a fast-food mode and offers dishes to go or catering, add packages and disposable tableware to your dishes as a modifier set.

☝️ Enter a preparation Price for each coffee size, and leave the main Price field empty, so your waiter can select a dish price depending on the size.

☝️ You can’t add modifiers if dish:

  • is a modifier of another dish;

  • was manufactured and deducted.

  • is a bonus product, rewarded as a promotion.

Steak with a different roasting degree

Add cooking variants and dish options to the menu. To do this add cooking methods as modifiers, which won’t affect stock wastes.

To create a “Ribeye Steak” with different roasting degree:

  1. Go to Products → Dishes in the management console.

  2. Click on Add.

  3. Enter dish name. For example, “Ribeye Steak”.

  4. Choose a category and station.

  5. Upload photo or choose icon color. It’ll be displayed on your POS.

  6. Set up a fixed price regardless of the doneness in the Price field.

  7. In the Ingredients section click Add ingredient and add all dish ingredients. Enter gross and net weight.

  10. Choose Only one in order to choose only one roasting degree of “Ribeye steak” on your POS at the same time.

  11. Click Add.

  12. For each roasting degree in the Ingredient field choose No extra ingredients from the drop-down list. Now modifiers will add an option to your dish and won’t affect stock waste.

  13. In Name field enter roasting degree “Blue Rare”, “Rare”, “Medium Rare”, “Medium”, “Medium Well”, “Well Done”.

  14. Upload the photo of steaks for POS.

  15. Click Save.

☝️ You can’t add modifiers if dish:

  • is a modifier of another dish;

  • was manufactured and deducted.

  • is a bonus product, rewarded as a promotion.

☝️ If you delete the dish, it will be moved with its modifiers to the trash. Dishes are stored in the trash can for 30 days after being deleted.
