Set up write-off rules to direct write-offs to specific storage locations. For example, lemons may be used in the kitchen to prepare salads and in the bar for cocktails.

Write-off by stations

Set up a separate storage location for each station so that selling a dish prepared at a particular station, would automatically write off the ingredients from the designated storage location.

  1. Go to Access → Locations in the management console.

  2. Click Edit next to the location login.

  3. Scroll down to Storage section.

  4. Select Configurate each station separately in Settings.

  5. Scroll down to Station section.

  6. Assign storage locations to each station.

  7. Click Save.

Now, when selling a cocktail that is prepared at the bar, the lemon will be written off from the Bar storage location. If you sell a salad that is prepared in the kitchen, it will be deducted from the Kitchen storage location.

☝️ By default, Poster writes off sold ingredients from the storage location that received the latest supply or transfer of that specific ingredient.

Write-off rules by station and register

In case your business has multiple stations and more than one POS register, set up write-off rules by stations and registers.

For example, POS A would write off ingredients from Storage A, and POS B would write off ingredients from Storage B.

To do this, select Configurate write-off by station and register in Settings. Match registers and stations with the correct storage location and save the changes.
