How to edit dish retroactively

Change ingredients or edit their quantity retroactively, and Poster will recalculate the cost and remaining stock for the needed period.

💡 Retroactive editing is available both for dishes and preparations.

Edit dishes or preparations retroactively to include any recipe changes to your previous sales. Change ingredients or edit their quantity in sold dishes or preparations, and Poster will recalculate the cost and remaining stock balances for the selected period.

☝️ All employees with full access to the menu can edit dishes retroactively. To restrict this action only to the owner or manager, deny access permissions to the menu section for other positions.

To edit dish retroactively:

  1. Go to Menu → Dishes in the management console.

  2. Find a dish and click ••• → Retroactive editing.

  3. Select a time period when you need to apply retroactive changes and recalculate the stock deductions.

    💡 Date must fall within the open inventory check period.

  4. Change the dish ingredients or their quantity in the Recipe section.

  5. To add a new component click + Add item.

  6. To remove an existing component click ×

  7. Click Save.

💡 To view previous editing history click on Recipe next to a dish in Menu → Dishes.

See which employees made changes to the dish, the ingredients that were edited, and the time period when those changes were applied.
